One of our volunteers decided this year to take a holiday at the end of the season, when things were quieter. The sea felt calmer, and the beach was peaceful. But there are some things in Greece you simply can’t escape, no matter the season. And there she was, a tiny kitten, most probably abandoned, all alone in that remote, deserted area, with no mother or siblings anywhere around. With winter approaching, her chances of surviving alone in such an isolated place were almost non-existent.
Now, Serafina is safe in a foster home in Athens, where she is cared for and loved. There, she met the sweetest boy, Bean, who was also rescued from another Greek island and is now safe and being fostered alongside Serafina.
Bean is an affectionate, confident, cuddly boy who loves both people and other cats. The two of them have bonded beautifully in their foster home. They seem to have adopted each other, and their connection is truly special. ❤️
These two babies, however, have had very different beginnings. Bean was rescued when he was still very young. Although he was born in an area with busy roads and people who don’t always respect cats, he was fortunately rescued before he had much time to experience the dangers and hardships of life on the streets. Serafina, on the other hand, was abandoned on a remote beach and had a much harder start in life, experiencing hunger and the fear of being left all alone.
Understandably, she was scared and nervous at first, but she was lucky to be rescued in time. With love and patience, she slowly began to trust humans again. She is a very sweet and affectionate girl, but she needs a little more time to adjust to new people.
Serafina and Bean are looking for a forever home together. We would love for them to stay together, as they have formed such a beautiful and special bond. They deserve a patient, loving family who will give them the safety, care, and affection they need to flourish.
Could you be the family they’ve been waiting for? 🏡❤️

Fairy Tails is a non-profit organization based in Greece. We are a passionate group of volunteers who cannot stand by while animals suffer on the streets. We believe every living being deserves love, dignity, and a chance for a better future. We rescue animals in need; each has its own story, and we often don’t know their full past. What matters most is the love, patience, and care we offer them as they begin a new, happy chapter they deserve. We fight for their right to a better life in every way we can. We are also dedicated to supporting cat colonies by providing food, essential medical care, and sterilization programs to improve their well-being.
Our mission is made possible through donations, allowing us to continue making a real difference in the lives of stray animals.
