Meet Giorgis!
He may not be the flashiest cat, but he is truly the kindest.
Every August, Athens empties as many residents leave for their holidays, and for stray animals, that makes finding food and water even harder. Giorgis was just a tiny kitten then, when our paths crossed. He was eating tiny stones. When we set the trap with some food, he went right in, without hesitating for a moment and being trapped didn’t even matter to him. All he wanted was to eat, he was so incredibly hungry, you could see his bones.
Giorgis is wonderful with other cats, though a bit shy with humans. He loves cats very much, so we think he wouldn’t be happy without a feline friend as well. For that reason, he would need to be adopted as a second cat or together with another feline friend.
His absolute favorite treats are meat sticks, he loves them more than you can imagine!
Giorgis has been patiently waiting for two years for his forever home. If you have a warm lap and plenty of meat sticks, please give Giorgis the loving home he’s been waiting for. ❤️🐾

The adoption fee includes and is exclusively used for the cat’s expenses, such as:
• Vaccination
• Sterilisation
• Passport
• Microchip
• Veterinary care
• Travel costs
Adoption fees are as follows:
• Young/adult cat: 280€
• Senior (8+ years): 200€
• Unsterilised kitten: 230€
• Pair of young/adult cats: 480€
• Pair of seniors: 320€
• Pair of unsterilised kittens: 400€
Fairy Tails is a non-profit organization based in Greece. We are a passionate group of volunteers who cannot stand by while animals suffer on the streets. We believe every living being deserves love, dignity, and a chance for a better future. We rescue animals in need; each has its own story, and we often don’t know their full past. What matters most is the love, patience, and care we offer them as they begin a new, happy chapter they deserve. We fight for their right to a better life in every way we can. We are also dedicated to supporting cat colonies by providing food, essential medical care, and sterilization programs to improve their well-being.
